About Mark
Influenced by his father who was a keen amateur photographer Mark started taking photographs with his first camera (a Kodak Instamatic 25) when he was 8 years old. At aged 20 he took it more seriously with a Mamiya, two Practikas and a dark room. Sadly the cameras were stolen and unable to afford to replace them, his photography interest had to be shelved.
Fifteen years went by (plus a marriage, a divorce and a new marriage) and then Mark bought his first Nikon film camera. Shortly afterwards came the start of the digital revolution. As Mark was involved in web design and marketing he bought one of the first Canon digital cameras. The Nikon was never used again. Then Mark became involved in the music business and after starting a small record label Mark found himself managing a band. Disappointed with the quality of images on his Canon digital camera Mark bought a Nikon DSLR and from then on photography has played an ever-increasing role in his life.
Mark completed an Advanced Photography course at Fotofilia Studio in Birmingham and then began to receive his first commissions for commercial photography work. Now he has a small studio at home and spends more and more time either out with his camera or sat in front of his MacBook Pro editing.
More recently, Mark has qualified as a drone pilot (PfCO) so can now offer professional aerial photography and videography.
