This week Mark has received his PfCO (Permission to Fly Commercial Operations) from the Civil Aviation Authority. It’s only issued after attending ground school and then passing an exam and flight test. It’s in the name of Stretch Marketing (Mark & Sara’s partnership) and Mark is the Pilot in charge. So if you are interested in any aerial photography or videography please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
It’s always a pleasure working with new models. Part of the pleasure is getting to know them a bit so that it’s possible to try and bring out some of their character in the images. Recently I got to work with Savannah in Birmingham. At just sixteen she is new to the business but she has all of the right attributes for success as a model.
Shooting models can be great fun for both model and photographer. Maybe you’ve got an idea for a shoot and need a willing photographer. Maybe you are new to modelling and would like to start your portfolio. Either way maybe we can help each other. I’m happy to try out new modelling shots and experiment with lighting etc. Just let me know what your preference is.
Ideally no money would change hands. You would give me your time for free and I would give you my time for free plus some edited images on a cd. You can bring someone with you if you like. Photographing kids is fun. They just want to enjoy themselves. They aren’t worried about how they look on camera. We just set up the background and threw them all together and started snapping away ..
A short while ago I took some photos of Sophie at her home. Her sister Bethany also wanted to be in the picture.
Google is constantly amending it’s algorithm. It’s trying to distance itself from Bing and other search engines by bringing up what it considers to be better results. Unfortunately they aren’t better. The results are a lot worse now than they were this time last year.
Their exact match domain update means that companies who named themselves after what they do and were doing it long enough to have purchased the domain describing what they do before some else did have now been penalised. Glasses UK (www.GlassesUK.com) for example was the first online prescription glasses seller in the UK. For many years if you searched for Glasses UK you got the Glasses UK website www.GlassesUK.com. Now you don’t. You can try searching for Glasses UK – but you won’t find it.
The same thing has happened to thousands of companies across the world. So now when you are searching, you are not being shown the best results. You are being shown what Google considers a superior set of results. But they aren’t. In fact they are rubbish. Google needs to take a step back, have a long look at itself, stop being so arrogant and start showing the real results – or people will turn away and Google will wither and die ..
